The Other Than Sullivan Shows Who Presented Elvis While Ed Sullivan is much credited for bringing Elvis Presley to millions of TV viewers young and old, as he should be, let's not forget other network broad spectrum audience shows that also brought the soon to be future King of Rock & Roll to 50's black & white top rated shows, including the big band leaders who conceded to the emerging music styles (they had doo wop r&b acts on also), of course Tommy & Jimmy Dorsey. Then there was Uncle Miltie, Milton Berle, who did his sides of foot dance shtick after Elvis performed "Hound Dog" on his show. Manager Col. Tom Parker nixed Dick Clark & Alan Freed teen variety shows, no one claims to know the reason (Money, Honey?).
