Kukla, Fran & Ollie was the first puppet show to be seen 5 days a week nationally
on a major network. "Kuklapolitans" creator Burr Tillstrom produced the show from Chicago,
an Ernie Kovacs style puppetmaster who went beyond the limitations of 50's and 60's
television technology to create a show entertaining not only to children, but their parents
which is why NBC added the show to it's Monday through Friday afternoon schedule.
